What should I wear?
First and foremost: we want you to feel comfortable and like yourself. Wear whatever makes you feel good.
Chelsea and Justin will be in semi-formal attire. The venue is indoors—so no need to worry about the weather or tricky terrain.
If you want to dress on theme, the aesthetic thread of the day is transparent, overlapping color—think tinted glass, sheer fabrics, and bright, joyful hues. This is fully optional, but a fun excuse to get creative if you’re inspired!
Are kids invited?
Yes! Our wedding will be kid-friendly, and we’re excited to celebrate with the whole family.To stay within our venue’s capacity limits, we kindly ask that only children listed on your invitation attend. The reception will include a small kids’ area, but please plan to supervise your children throughout the event.
Do you have a gift registry? / Are gifts expected?
Your presence is truly the greatest gift, and we do not expect gifts of any kind.If you'd like to support us as we start this next chapter, we’ve set up a honeymoon fund and a small registry with a few meaningful items. You can find both linked.
Where should we stay?
All wedding events will take place in Over-the-Rhine (OTR)—a walkable, neighborhood in downtown Cincinnati. We’ve put together a list of nearby hotels and a map to our venue. All are within a short walk or quick streetcar ride to the ceremony. Since our wedding falls on the same weekend as America’s River Roots Festival, we recommend booking early!
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes! Here are the best parking options near Somerhaus (1415 Republic St):
Washington Park Garage – Closest option! Enter on Race St. or Elm St. It’s just a 2-minute walk to Somerhaus.
Mercer Commons Garage – Located at 1310 Vine St.; just a short stroll away.
3CDC Surface Lot – On the corner of Vine & 15th; easy access and parking nearby.
Please Note: Street parking on Republic St. is permit-only, so we recommend using one of the garages above to avoid tickets or towing.
Will the ceremony and reception be at the same location?
Yes, both the ceremony and reception will take place at Somerhaus, (1415 Republic St).
